WHO I AM

Katie Cowley

Workplace Specialist / Mediator

With over 20 years of experience navigating the complexities of workplace relationships, Katie brings a commercial, strategic, and people-first approach to every engagement. As an Employee Relations Specialist, Mediator, and Workplace and Factual Investigator, Katie has had the privilege of working alongside individuals and organisations across a wide range of sectors — including Commonwealth and State Government, Education, Catholic Education, Social Services, and more recently, the Repair and Maintenance Services industry.

Katie holds a Master of Labour Laws, a Bachelor of Arts and Laws (BA/LLB), and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice — a foundation that underpins everything that she does and ensures her advice is not only practical, but legally sound. As a Justice of the Peace, Katie also brings a strong grounding in procedural fairness and integrity to every matter she handles.

What drew Katie to this work is simple: a genuine belief that employees deserve to be treated fairly, and that employers deserve clear, strategic, and commercially grounded advice to help them lead their workplaces with confidence. Katie has seen firsthand how the right support — at the right time — can transform a difficult situation into a constructive outcome for everyone involved.

Whether that means facilitating a difficult conversation between colleagues, mediating a workplace dispute, conducting a fair and thorough investigation, or providing strategic employee relations advice at an organisational level, Katie tailors her approach to the needs of each unique situation.

Katie works both independently and as a consultant and embedded within organisations, offering flexible support to suit the needs of each client. Whether you need a neutral third party to step in, or an experienced specialist to work alongside your team from the inside, Katie is here to help.

If you’re facing a workplace challenge and aren’t sure where to turn, Katie would love to have a conversation.
